I am a native Chinese interpreter and translator, living with my family in Guangxi province. I used to be an English teacher and subsequently trained as a translator at Guangxi Foreign Language school, having graduated in 2001.

Having worked previously for local translation bureaus in Guilin City (in Guangxi province in South China), I have now set up my own interpretation and translation bureau.

I have specialized in accompanying visiting business people on their visits to China, providing all-round simultaneous Chinese-English interpretation. I am available for assignments anywhere in China.

My charge for interpretation services is 400 Yuan per day, plus actual expenses. Accommodation would have to be provided.

Apart from providing simultaneous interpretation, I handle the translation of business documents as well product manuals from English into Chinese.

While other translation bureaus work with staff that is not always fully qualified, I do everything myself.

For my customers, this means two things:

1. better translation quality (because they deal directly with the translator handling their job), and 2. lower prices because there is no company with administrative staff that also needs to earn money.

My translation rates are based on the number of words translated, with a charge of 5 US dollar per 100 Chinese characters in the resulting translation.

If you would like to have an English language text translated into Chinese, the standard procedure would be the following:

You first send me the text to be translated as email or email attachment. The attachment can be a WORD file or scanned pages.

I will then look at the text and revert to you with information on how long it will take me to do the translation. This may depend on how difficult the text is, or, more likely, on how busy I am with other pending work.

If you then agree on me doing your translation, I will send you a short contract to be signed by you (and stamped, if the translation is ordered by a business entity).

I will also collect a small down-payment of approximately 10 percent.

If you order the translation within China, the down-payment, as well as later the full payment, should be remitted to my bank account.

If you order the translation from abroad, payment can either be to a contact bank account in your country, or by Western Union or Emoneygram to my address in China.

Full payment would be due within 15 days of me submitting the translation.
