Delhi has a history that stretches back to 3000 years. Indraprastha, the seat of the Pandavas in the early centuries of the era, was situated in Purana Quila, and is believed to he Delhi's earliest city. Repeated invasions have also struck the city at various times in history - Timberline in the 14th century, Bah in the 16th century and the British in the 19th century are among those who invaded Delhi.
